Founded in 2009, A9 Green has worked diligently to help create more comfortable, energy efficient, and sustainable homes throughout Massachusetts and the Greater Boston Area. As decade-long certified RESNET and ENERGY STAR consultants and HERS raters, we have become a leader in the industry of building and architectural sciences, energy consulting, and HERS Rating.
We work with a range of individuals from all backgrounds to effectively meet the challenges of Massachusetts’ stringent energy codes for single/multi-family, LowRise, HighRise, and commercial projects.
The team at A9 Green brings a variety of skills and expertise to create a comprehensive approach throughout the entirety of the building process, taking the time to formulate a successful path for design and implementation of each project to achieve the best results. We aim to help builders, architects, developers, realtors, and homeowners not only build better homes but to also:
Reduce their construction costs
Assure their projects comply with energy codes
Take advantage of the latest in technology, building science, and utility-sponsored incentive programs
Lower the costs of future utility bills

"They were extremely prompt in getting back to me regarding the initial rating. During the course of remained in contact with me and guided me through of insulation and HVAC specifications. They were also prompt and extremely thorough during the final HERS rating blower door test. As the general contractor and builder for this project, I was pleased with Total Green Energy services and pricing relative to other contractors used and would recommend them to anyone in need of rating or other energy solutions."
Norfolk Kitchen and Bath, Boston, MA
"As a builder and developer, it is critical for us to have qualified and timely consultation and advice to share with our clients. Equally important is the ability to handle testing professionally. With Total Green Energy as our consultant, we were able to achieve results that were even higher than our planned design. Our client ultimately gained thousands in cash rebates."
Mike Bernier, Principal at MKB Partners LLC. Newton, MA
"I was happy to learn that Total Green Energy Solution was both knowledgeable and helpful in offering ideas and suggestions toward improving my methods and simultaneously satisfying the "Stretch Code" requirement. I plan on using Bijan again as he directed me towards an optimal approach to maximizing efficiency vs cost containment. This culminated in a "Win/Win" situation for my end users and my Companies! ."
Ralph E. D'Amico Development, Watertown, MA
" I have worked with many HERS raters and have found Bijan to be the most helpful in the way he responds to phone calls and emails and in conveying information about installation procedures. He was in inspecting the insulation and duct work at the rough inspection and the blower door and duct testing at the final inspection. Most importantly, he was easy to schedule time with and worked within my project schedule so as to not delay the progress of the project."

Bijan has been in the energy consulting industry since 2006. His main area of interests are energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable energy. He has an extensive background in building science and has worked both on existing homes as well as new construction. He understands and believes that energy efficiency is the least expensive and most effective way to help our environment. Bijan is a RESENT Certified HERS Rater, BPI Building Analyst, and holds a Ph.D. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University.
Working at an energy efficiency company was a natural step for Pari to take after having worked in a conservancy in North Carolina. She saw how homeowners, architects, and builders collectively working toward building sustainable, energy-efficient homes was making a better environment for future generations. Pari's diverse background in process control, project and sales management, and information technologies has allowed her to assist with managing our projects and servicing our clients in the best way possible.
Justin's primary role as a HERS rater is to ensure the successful completion of projects from start to finish. This includes initial analysis and discussions, field visits and testing during construction, as well as final testing and certification with energy modeling software. Thinking about reducing energy use and sustainability, especially in a field where many people might not consider it is what attracted his attention to this growing industry.
RESNET Field Inspector (RFI)
Saeed's interest in energy efficiency stems from his background in plumbing and construction. Seeing how energy efficiency measures during construction resulted in energy savings and sustainability was remarkable to him. Saeed is happy to be part of how the plans and executions of energy savings in construction turn into actual cost savings and comfort for occupants.

Matheus is a Civil Engineer. He was associated with the 2016 Rio Olympics – managing the construction of an athlete residential complex, which was the first neighborhood in Latin America to get a LEED certification. Such experience awakened in him a passion about the environment, net-zero construction and green buildings. Currently, Matheus is pursuing an MBA at Babson College and joined the A9 Green team in June/2019.
Shannon coordinates with builders and homeowners to ensure that their energy efficiency projects are as sustainable and affordable as possible. Having studied Environmental Studies and Spanish at Mount Holyoke College, she believes that energy efficiency is the most environmentally and financially effective option for consumers to reduce their environmental impact while improving their comfort. With a background in energy and environment, she’s excited to continue learning about cutting-edge building and energy technologies.

A current graduate student in Energy Systems at Northeastern University, Boston, Rushi's interest and passion to work in the energy industry grew even more deeper while working as an Energy Efficiency intern. He loves his primary responsibilities which include energy modeling using software and performing blower door, duct leakage, and envelope sealing tests at field inspections. He is very passionate about adopting renewable energy technologies and energy saving measures. In his leisure time, Rushi spends time with his friends and loves watching wrestling matches
This is Sparkle! She considers herself an expert in sniffing out "Green" areas. Her supervisory role mainly consists of watching over all of us daily with one eye half-opened. When she is not supervising, she is a great tester for determining if our office is too hot or too cold by either panting or shaking respectively. Thus providing us great input in having an energy efficient setting on our thermostat! She also loves begging for scraps of everyone's lunches.
